(Master Jun Hong Lu’s call-in radio program)
Caller: We often hear Master tells us Lord Buddha’s stories on the law of causation that mentioned, “may all my evil deeds do not come to fruition”. However, the law of causation is an undeniable truth and evil deeds will ultimately come to fruition. Master, may I know if we can mention this phrase to Bodhisattva prior to our recitation of *_LIFO_*? Will it extend the time it takes for negative karma to come to fruition?
Master Jun Hong Lu: Yes, it will. By extending the time it takes for negative karma to come to fruition, it will eliminate substantial negative karma gradually, due to the fact that you are constantly performing good deeds.
Caller: How should we put it into our prayer prior to reciting *_LIFO_*?
Master Jun Hong Lu: When you mention “May Bodhisattva protect and bless me (name) and help me to eliminate karmic obstacles”, it has the same significance as when you say, “May my karmic obstacles do not erupt.”
Caller: I understand now.
