(Master Jun Hong Lu’s call-in radio program)
Caller: A Buddhist practitioner has a statue of Guan Yin Bodhisattva at home. A year or two later, the statue might have collected dust. Generally, how should we clean it in a proper way?
Master Jun Hong Lu: Use a duster, but not the one with chicken feathers. Alternatively, use a clean towel to wipe it gently and, simultaneously, recite the Heart Sutra.
Caller: Sure. Generally, we are not supposed to clean it too often. Is it correct that we should only do it once every one or two years.
Master Jun Hong Lu: That’s right. Don’t do it very often. It’s not good.
