Q: Is it true that someone has accumulated great virtue and merits, then the person will also have great obstacles?
A: The more you want to obtain Buddha-hood, the greater demonic obstacles you’ll have. The more you’re respected; the more jealousy you’ll invite. If one day you become a model worker, you may need to deal with jealous individual. The taller a tree grows, the stronger wind and rain it will withstand. No one will pay attention to a sapling.
