(Master Jun Hong Lu's Call-In Radio Program)
Master Jun Hong Lu: Please remember that unwholesome thoughts lead to the creation of negative karma. It is our thoughts that cause the chain reactions in our body, actions, and speech. Therefore, it is imperative to learn emptiness of mind when cultivating Buddhist spirituality. Without any thoughts in mind, you will not create any karma. If you have thoughts surfacing in your mind, these need to be wholesome. If your thoughts are positive, you will bring good karma to yourself. Negative thoughts can potentially lead to bad outcomes. To understand the theory of karma is to comprehend the idea of 'reap what you sow'. Why do some people have such a heavy amount of negative karma? It is because they continually keep creating it for themselves.
