Caller: Master Lu, for fellow practitioners who are more spiritually able to adopt ingenious ways to help awaken sentient beings, can they seek Bodhisattva’s compassion in helping them to arrange for more opportunities to help similar sentient beings? How should we address this request to Guan Yin Bodhisattva? Master Lu, please enlighten us.
Master Jun Hong Lu:
It is wise to pray to Guan Yin Bodhisattva frequently for the ability to reach out to more sentient beings to help them awaken their Buddha nature. When you send this type of prayer to Guan Yin Bodhisattva, you will receive boundless merits and virtues. This is why a lot of people are very wise in doing this, and so please continue to pray this way. One needs to say, ‘May the Greatly Compassionate and Greatly Merciful Guan Yin Bodhisattva help me to reach out to more sentient beings who willingly help themselves, and who proclaim their faith in Buddhism on the way to awaken their own Buddha nature. May Guan Yin Bodhisattva bestow your blessings on me’. Guan Yin Bodhisattva will answer your prayers. In fact, Guan Yin Bodhisattva will not only grant you a blessing for helping others, but will also bless you and stay with you.
Caller: Right, I see.
Master Jun Hong Lu: People who pray this way are very wise, and so they are able to venture out and help others. The truth is, Bodhisattva bestows tremendous blessings upon these people who speak nicely, are good to others, offer positive prayers, and who pray for blessings.
