男听众：念解结咒不要超过108遍，有没这个说法？

台长答：有（为什么不能超过108遍？）因为念得太多的话，反而起的效果太……就是我们现在讲起来PUSH得太厉害，就是不停地去催他、弄他的话，反而使有些东西……举个简单例子，开汽水瓶子，猛一开的话“嘣”一下子，要慢慢开不要水流出来，所以使劲儿不能太大。吃药一样的，药量用过头了反作用了，就这么一个道理（要循序渐进）

WHY IS IT NOT ADVISABLE TO RECITE MANTRA TO UNTIE KARMIC KNOTS (JIE JIE ZHOU) MORE THAN THE ALLOCATED NUMBER OF TIME?

Caller:  Is it true, recitation of Mantra to Untie Karmic Knots (Jie Jie Zhou) should not exceed 108 times?

Master Jun Hong Lu:  Yes, this is true. 

Caller:  Why shouldn’t we recite I more than 108 times? 

Master Jun Hong Lu:  This is because an excessive number of recitations can result in what we referred to as, ’pushing too hard’.
To quote you a simple example about constantly making haste, when you abruptly open a bottle of soft drink, it goes ‘POM!’ and results in an eruption of bubbly mess.  We need to open the bottle slowly instead to avoid soda from spilling out.  Therefore, exertion of one’s strength should be controlled. The same applies to taking medication.  Over-consumption can result in an adverse effect.  The same logic applies here.  One can only make steady progress.
