【如何理解“出口就是业”，平时该怎么讲话】

女听众：同修想问，“出口就是业”这句话这么理解？那平时该怎么样讲话呢？

台长答：出口就是业，分善业、恶业。讲好话、口吐莲花不是种善业吗？是不是业了？（对）好了，你为什么不能种善业？（哦，出口就讲好话？）嗯，出口就讲好话。人家说饭好了，“哎哟，感恩啊！”同样一句吃饭的话，你是不是造善业了？（是的）“哎哟，你修得真好！”“哎哟，我现在越看你越像菩萨。”讲得人家欢天喜地的，你说是不是造业了？（是的）好像听到“造业”很难过，好像是不好听的，实际上造善业也是造业，造恶业也是造业，听懂了吗？（听懂了）

Caller:  A Buddhist friend would like to ask about the meaning of the saying “Words once uttered, will contribute to karma”.  What shall we be aware of when we speak?

Master Jun Hong Lu:  Words uttered will contribute to karma, either good or bad ones.  The kind words that we speak are like lotuses coming out from our mouth.  It contributes to good karma — isn’t that karma too?

Caller:  Yes!

Master Jun Hong Lu:  Well! Why can’t you create good karma then?

Caller:  I see, that means we shall speak only kind words?

Master Jun Hong Lu:  Yes, speak only kind words.  If someone tells you that the meal is ready, and you go, “Thanks, I appreciate that!”, with a simple reply of this kind, haven’t you created good karma?

Caller:  That’s right!

Master Jun Hong Lu:  Remarks such as “Hey, looks like you are doing well in your spiritual cultivation!”, “Nowadays, the more I look at you, the more I think you resemble Bodhisattva!”.  All these bring joy and happiness to others.  With that, don’t you think karma has been created?

Caller:  Yes.

Master Jun Hong Lu:  The words “creating karma” may sound upsetting and unpleasant.  But in fact, it refers to the creation of both good and bad karma.  Do you understand now?

Caller:  Yes, I understand now.
