【如何理解“当局者迷，旁观者清”】

男听众：“当局者迷，旁观者清”，是什么意思呢？

台长答：就是你在这个事情当中，你是自己迷、搞不清楚的。我举个例子，你今天跟人家吵架的时候，你不知道自己是错是对，但是你今天看别人在吵架，你在边上，你是不是知道谁错谁对啊？（知道，就好像菩萨在看我们一样）对啊。人跟人闹来闹去，不开心，吵来吵去，菩萨看我们都知道谁对谁错的，但是你自己吵架的人，你自己不知道的，明白吗？（嗯）

HOW SHOULD WE UNDERSTAND THE SAYING: ‘THOSE INVOLVED IN THE MATTER ARE BLINDED TO THE TRUTH WHILE ONLOOKERS SEE THINGS WITH CLARITY’

Caller: What does it mean to say that ‘those involved in the matter are blinded to the truth while onlookers see things with clarity’?

Master Jun Hong Lu: This means that when in the middle of a situation, you would be bewildered and unable to see things with clarity. For example, when arguing with others, you will not be able to identify whether you are in the right or wrong. However, if you were to be a bystander in another person’s quarrel, wouldn’t you be able to know who is right and who is wrong?

Caller: I understand, it is just like how Bodhisattva watches us.

Master Jun Hong Lu: Indeed, Bodhisattva watches us and knows right from wrong whenever people are unhappy and quarrel. However, one who is directly involved in the argument will not have this knowledge, do you understand?

Caller: Yes, Master Lu.
